Winery Tour & Tasting in Pau
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will meet up with a professional sommelier to learn first-hand about the delicious Jurançon wine which is produced in this region of France.
You will discover how the drink became famous during the baptism of King Henry IV. Jurançon wine exists in several variations, of which sweet wine has been a denomination of origin since 1936 and dry wine since 1975. Amazingly, more than a thousand hectares of vineyards in the area are dedicated to this particular wine.
Besides discovering how the grape is cultivated, you will also learn how about the characteristics of this wine and what makes it so special. During the visit to the winery, you will become an expert in Jurançon wine.
We will conclude this brilliant tour of the estate, with a tasting of the different flavors of Jurançon wine. This is the perfect way to end to a day among the vineyards!
