Experience the authentic taste of Pau with the Pass Gourmand: indulge in delicious food tastings at establishments all around the city, from markets to bakeries to wineries!
Pau: Pass Gourmand
The Pass Gourmand is a unique foodie pass that allows you to taste the most delicious products in Pau. Passes include 5 or 10 tickets, depending on which option you select, and each ticket can be exchanged for a tasting of a local delicacy in one of many different local establishments.
The Pass Gourmand allows you to tour Pau at your own pace. Depending on your tastes and preferences, you can spend your tickets in different chocolate shops, patisseries, cafés and wine shops around the city centre. You can also enjoy tastings in different charcuterie, cheese and ice-cream shops in Les Halles: the main market in Pau. You'll fall in love with the local Aquitaine gastronomy!

How does it work?
You must present your booking voucher at the Pau Tourist Office, located in the central Place Royale. Depending on which Pass Gourmand you've booked, you'll be given 5 or 10 tickets, which you'll be able to exchange for local products in the city's shops.
The staff at the office, who speak English, will also provide you with a map of Pau showing all the establishments included on the pass. Please note that each ticket is valid for one food tasting, so we recommend planning in advance which places in Pau you wish to visit.
The duration of the Gourmand Pass is indefinite. You don't need to use up all your tickets on the same day, so you can try different Pau products on different days. Your pass will expire when you have used every ticket.
Opening hours
The market is open at the following times:
- Monday to Saturday: 9 am - 6 pm
- Sundays: 9:30 am - 1 pm
