Disconnect from the stress of everyday life with this hiking route through Guachucal and the La Cumbra lagoon, a place that the ancient Indians considered a source of energy and renewal.
Guachucal + La Cumbal Lagoon Hiking Tour
At 6 am we'll meet at the monument to Antonio Nariño, located in the square of the same name. From here we'll travel to the municipality of Guachucal, located in the south of the department of Nariño.
As soon as we arrive, we'll take an ancient path used by the indigenous people to travel to the La Bolsa lagoon, a place that for them represented a point of spiritual strength. We'll follow this path that runs through the pastures on the slopes of the Cumbal volcano and borders the Los Capotes Nature Reserve.
During the walk, which takes about four hours and is of medium-low difficulty, we'll tell you some of the legends that surround the Cumbal volcano, as well as learn how the inhabitants of Guachucal protect the nature around them. On this journey, you'll be taken on a journey of introspection and total connection with nature that will recharge you with positive energies.
Once at the La Bolsa lagoon, you'll learn why this area was considered by the indigenous people as a source of energy and renewal. You'll also be able to admire a beautiful view of the lagoon with the Cumbal volcano in the background.
We'll take a boat to cross the lagoon and enter the municipality of Cumbal. Here we'll enter the Los Capotes Reserve, where we'll have a lunch that includes a soup, a fish main course and a drink.
Finally, we'll return to Pasto and leave you at the starting point at 6 pm.
