Passo Fundo Guided Visit

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Praça da Mãe, from which point we'll start this guided tour of Passo Fundo. Are you ready?

During the walking tour, we'll discover the historic centre of Passo Fundo, walking by and discussing the main landmarks. We'll see iconic buildings such as the Roseli Doleski Pretto Cultural Space, the Cathedral and the train station.

Along this route of approximately 1.7 kilometres (1 mile), we'll talk all about the history of the city, whose origins date back to 1827. Did you know that it was almost decimated in the Farroupilha Revolution that began in 1935? The municipality, which had 419 inhabitants, was reduced to 60 residents at the end of the war. 

In addition, during our guided tour of Passo Fundo, we'll explore a section of the ancient indigenous pathway used by the drovers, once the focal point of the city's development. We'll discuss the history of this route and it's connection to the name of the town, along with other myths and legends!

Finally, after a 2-hour visit, we'll finish the activity at the Gare Estação Gastronómica.
