Very good experience, starting with the organization and transportation. The Palace and its gardens were beautiful. Osvaldo did a great job and with his explanations he made it easy to understand the entire tour. 100% recommended.

Tour of the Palace of Versailles

At your chosen time we'll depart from Paris and, about 45 minutes later, we'll arrive in Versailles by bus, the de facto capital of France for several years during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.

After visiting the interior of the palace, you'll have free time to explore the Versailles gardens. Throughout the 800 hectares, we'll see trees, plants statues and, ponds. In addition, at no extra cost, we'll see the fountains in operation on those days when they are in operation.

The visit to the palace and its gardens will last a total of two hours. At the end of the tour, we'll return to Paris.

Once there, we'll enjoy a guided tour of the Palace of Versailles, which we'll enter without waiting in line at the ticket office. On this tour, we'll stop in different rooms of the palace, including the King's and Queen's Grand Apartments. We'll also visit the Hall of Mirrors, where in 1919 the Treaty of Versailles was signed, which put an end to the First World War.

After the guided tour of the Palace of Versailles, which will last approximately 1.5 hours, you'll have free time to stroll around the gardens of Versailles at your leisure. In its more than 800 hectares (1976 acres), you can admire trees and plants of all kinds, statues, and ponds. You'll also be able to see the fountains running, a beautiful sight to behold.

Finally, from Versailles we'll return to the meeting point in Paris, where we'll arrive between 4.5 and 7 hours after the initial pick-up, depending on the option you choose in your booking.

Tour Options

When you make your reservation, you can choose one of the following options:

4.5-Hour Tour + Audio Guide

If you only want the transport, and you prefer to visit the palace freely with an audio guide in English, we offer the alternative of booking without a guide at a lower price.

This audio guide can be downloaded to your tablet or mobile phone. When you board the bus, the staff on board will explain how to download the audio guide. To do so, you will need to scan the QR code displayed at the entrance to the Palace of Versailles.

This option includes return transport from Paris with 3 departures, 2 in the morning (at 8:15 am and 11 am) and one in the afternoon (at 2 pm), plus an audio guide in English to visit the palace.

4.5-Hour Guided Tour

Includes return transport from Paris with 1 afternoon departure (at 2 pm) and an English-speaking guide at the Palace of Versailles.

Please note that during the winter season (until March 31), this option operates only on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. From April 1, it runs from Tuesday to Sunday.

7-Hour Guided Tour

Including transport to and from Paris with 2 departures in the morning (at 8:15 am and 11 am), an English-speaking guide at the Palace of Versailles and entrance to the palaces of the Petit and Grand Trianon.

Duration of the Tour

The duration of the guided tour of the Palace of Versailles will always be the same, i.e. 1.5 hours.

However, on morning departures, the time available to visit the gardens will be longer.

In addition, with the 7-hour tour option, you can also take a free tour of the small and large Trianon palaces, which are located at the back of the garden of the Palace of Versailles.

Skip The Line Entrance

If you book the guided tour, you'll enter the Palace of Versailles through the entrance reserved for groups. If you book the audio-guided tour, you'll enter through the normal entrance.

In both cases, you won't have to wait in line at the ticket office, but you will have to wait in line at the security checkpoint at the entrances.
