Quartmaster's Apartments Hôtel de la Marine Ticket
Ticket Details
Located in the Place de la Concorde, in the heart of Paris, the Hôtel de la Marine is one of the great 18th-century palaces in the French capital.
Your entrance to the Hôtel de la Marine includes access to the intendants' apartments, the lounges, and the loggia. With an audio guide in English, you'll first visit the intendants' apartments. These rooms are luxuriously decorated with lamps, curtains, and carpets from the time of Louis XV.
You'll also be enchanted by the lounges and the loggia, whose decoration will leave you speechless. During the audioguide tour, you'll discover the history of the Hôtel de la Marine. The palace was originally conceived to house the so-called Garde-Meuble de la Couronne. However, after the French Revolution of 1789, the building became the headquarters of the French Navy.
The French Ministry of the Navy moved to another building in 2015. From that year, the Hôtel de la Marine was extensively renovated and, since 2021, it has been open to the public. This ticket will allow you to appreciate the remodeling of this glamorous palace designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, one of the main architects of Louis XV of France.
The audioguide tour of the apartments of the Hôtel de la Marine takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
