On this guided tour of the Galeries Lafayette, you'll visit the most famous department store in Paris, with more than 100 years of history, outside of its opening hours.
Description
At the appointed time, the guided tour of the Galeries Lafayette will start at the La Coupole entrance, one of the main entrances to Paris' most famous department store!
Located at the crossroads between Boulevard Haussmann and Rue de la Chaussée d'Antin, in the elegant 9th district of the French capital, the Galeries Lafayette opened in 1912. Since then, its exclusive fashion, jewellery, perfumery and accessories have attracted many shoppers.
You'll visit the Galeries Lafayette outside of its opening hours. This way, when the department store closes its doors to the public, you'll be able to appreciate its distinguished decoration in greater detail. You'll also learn about the history of this legendary place, whose architecture resembles that of a palace.
We'll also see the emblematic Art Nouveau cupola of the Galeries Lafayette, a jewel dating back to 1912, which has recently been restored to its original splendour and brilliance.
After a 1.5 hour guided tour, the tour of the department store will conclude at the meeting point.
