On this hike to Praia do Sono, we'll explore one of the most beautiful and best-preserved coastlines in Paraty. We'll also get splendid views of the Atlantic Forest from Praia dos Antigos.
Praia do Sono Hiking Tour
We'll meet at 7:30 am on Roberto Silveira Avenue in Paraty and drive to Laranjeiras, a town located 28 kilometers (17 miles) away.
As soon as we arrive, we'll set off hiking toward Praia do Sono, which will take us about an hour and a half. Adventure time!
During the hike, we'll cross the landscapes of the Atlantic Forest, one of the most characteristic ecosystems in Brazil. We'll also pass through the Environmental Protection Area or APA of Cairuçu, where indigenous tribes such as caiçaras or quilombolas live. You also be able to take the opportunity to swim in one of the streams in the area before continuing with the route.
Finally, we'll arrive at our destination: Praia do Sono. In this fishing enclave surrounded by almond trees, you'll have free time to taste the local caiçara cuisine in one of the restaurants, and then you can relax on the sand and swim in its turquoise waters. The perfect setting to relax and disconnect from the hustle buslte!
If you're still in the mood for adventure, you can continue hiking for another 40 minutes to the deserted beach of Antigos, which can only be reached by a uphill path, but you'll get an absolutely breathtaking view of the region.
After a day immersed in Brazilian nature, we'll walk back to Laranjeiras, where the bus will be waiting to take us back to the starting point in Paraty, where we'll arrive at 2:30 pm.
