We'll meet in the centre of Paraty where you'll start to find out more of the history of this coastal city, which was founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century.
You'll walk through its streets and past its monuments, while your guide explains why it feels like time has stood still in the city. Did you know that Paraty was isolated until the 1960s when it was only accessible by sea?
During your visit, you will see the picturesque baroque churches of the city, such as the Chapel of Santa Rita, the Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, and the Church of Nossa Senhora das Dores.
On this two-hour tour, you'll also visit the Casa da Cultura, a cultural centre located inside a colonial "mansion" that, these days, is the hub of the city's social and cultural life. On the second floor of the house, there is a permanent exhibition on the history of the city.
The tour will come to an end back in the city centre.
