At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Matriz Church to begin this cachaça tour of Paraty, a tour which mixes history with some delicious tasting sessions. Ready? Let's go!
During the tour, you'll be told about the history behind cachaça, from the arrival of sugar cane in Brazil to the production process, discovering its connections with Africa. Did you know that, when it began being made, the quality was so high that it became one of the country's most important products? We'll discover all about this and many more interesting facts throughout the tour.
In total, we'll visit 5 cachaça bars in Paraty: Armazém da Cachaça, Cachaçaria Cana Caiana, Alambique Antônio Mello, Empório da Cachaça and Escritório da Cachaça. At these traditional venues, we'll try different types of cachaça and liqueurs and you'll also have the pleasure of trying the famous Jorge Amado cocktail, considered to be the most loved drink in Brazilian Venice.
