Paracas Private Day Trips

If you're spending a few days in Paracas and you'd like to visit its beautiful surrounding areas, you'll love our private day trips! They have a duration of 2 to 5 hours and include pick up and drop off at your hotel, transport in a private vehicle and an English-speaking guide.

Ballestas Islands (3 hours)

Having picked you up from your hotel, we'll take you to the port and board a shared speedboat. We'll skirt Paracas Bay so you can admire the mysterious Paracas Candelabra, whose origin remains unknown even today. When we get to the Ballestas Islands, we'll hop off the speedboat and see several families of Humboldt penguins, sea lions and birds native to this area such as Inca terns and blue-footed boobies.

Schedule: This day trip starts at 7:30 am. The route we follow be similar to that of this day trip to the Ballestas Islands.

Ballestas Islands + Paracas National Reserve (5 hours 30 minutes)

The first part of this day trip will be similar to the one described above. After visiting the Ballestas Islands, you'll have 30 minutes of free time to eat something before we head to the Paracas National Reserve. Here, we'll find fossils and fascinating rock formations such as the Cathedral. Afterwards, we'll explore this area's desert landscapes as well as both Roja and Yumaque beaches.

Schedule: This day trip starts at 7:30 am. The route we take will be similar to the one on this day trip to the Ballestas Islands and the Paracas National Reserve.

Paracas National Reserve (2 hours 30 minutes)

We'll set off for the Paracas National Reserve and head to the Visitor Centre to learn more about the species of flora and fauna protected within this area. Next, we'll explore peculiar rock formations, such as the Cathedral, and travel through the desert. We'll pause to admire the scenery at Roja and Yumaque beaches and then return to your hotel.

California Desert Buggy Tour (2 hours)

After picking you up from your hotel, we'll head to Adrenarena Park. From here, we'll travel through the California Desert on buggies. We'll start with the smallest dunes, which are between 16 feet (5 metres) and 33 feet (10 metres) high, and then head on to the highest ones, which reach a height of 492 feet (150 metres). Ready for an adrenaline rush?

We'll pause at some of the dunes to take pictures, walk on the sand and try sandboarding, the most popular sport in the desert.

Ica & Huacachina (5 hours)

Once we've picked you up from your hotel, we'll head to an artisanal winery in Ica. Here, we'll learn all about this region's winemaking traditions and taste some of their products. Afterwards, we'll visit the Regional Museum of Ica to learn about the remains of some of the most significant civilizations from this area. We'll continue with a sightseeing visit of the city before heading to the Huacachina Oasis, a breathtaking spot in the desert.

Schedule: This day trip starts at 9 am. The itinerary will be similar to that of this day trip to Ica and Huacachina.

Pisco Tour (5 hours)

We'll collect you from your hotel and head to the El Catador artisanal winery. When we get there, we'll taste some of their different varieties of wines and piscos. The next stop on our day trip will be at the Tacama industrial winery, where we'll stroll through its extensive vineyards and the production area where they make their liqueurs.

Morón Oasis (4 hours)

After driving to the district of Humay, we'll cross the desert and head to the Morón Oasis. This natural jewel sits in the middle of the sand dunes and is home to Morón Lagoon and its crystal-clear water. Did you know that this lagoon is shaped like a map of Peru?

You'll then have some free time to do activities such as sandboarding. We'll reconvene afterwards and have a picnic lunch on the shores of the lagoon.
