Explore the city of Ica and its main monuments on our day trip from Paracas. You'll also visit the breathtaking Huacachina Oasis in the heart of the desert and try some delicious local pisco and wine.
Ica & Huacachina Day Trip
At 11:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Paracas. When we're all on the coach, we'll start the 1-hour 30-minute drive to Ica.
Our tour of Ica will begin with a visit to a local winery. Here, we'll learn all about the production of both wine and the famous Peruvian Pisco. In addition, you'll taste some of their products.
Afterwards, we'll take a guided tour of the city and explore its streets, main monuments and most iconic places. We'll visit the Plaza de Armas, the Church of Our Lord of Luren and the Regional Museum of Ica. During our visit to the museum, we'll learn about how this region's different civilizations have evolved over the years. These civilizations include the Paracas, Nasca, Wari, Ica Chincha and Inca.
The next stop will be at the Huacachina Oasis, one of the most spectacular places in the department of Ica. You'll be able to take in the beauty of the lagoon surrounded by dunes and desert landscapes.
You'll then have 1 hour of free time so you can get some lunch.
Following a wonderful day exploring Ica, we'll make our way back to your hotel in Paracas and drop you off at 6 pm.
