Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve
Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve
On the day of your tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Paracas at 9 am and set off to the port, where a speedboat will be waiting to take us to the Ballestas Islands. During our boat trip around the Peruvian archipelago, we'll get to see the wealth of wildlife that inhabit the area, including sea lions, birds and Humboldt penguins. An unforgettable experience!
We'll also cruise past the Paracas Candelabra, a figure carved into the hillside with mysterious origins. It is known to be over 2000 years old, but the rest of its history is an enigma! We'll discover some of the theories surrounding it during the tour.
After a short break, we'll continue our tour back on dry land, exploring the Paracas National Reserve. We'll visit the Interpretation Centre to learn all about the native plants and wildlife of the coastal nature reserve, as well as seeing the remains of the Cathedral, a rock formation that for many years was a symbol of Peru.
Upon visiting the spectacular Red Beach and Yumaque Beach, the tour will come to an end with drop-off back at your hotel in Paracas at 1 pm.
