Excursion to the Panama Canal (6 hours)
After picking you up from your hotel in Panama City at 7:30 am, we'll begin with a stroll through the city's colonial quarter. In this central part of the Panamanian capital, Plaza de la Independencia is one of the highlights. While we're in this square, we'll admire the imposing façade of the Metropolitan Cathedral and discuss its history.
The historic center of Panama City, which has been declared a World Heritage Site, is also home to some other beautiful places that we'll discover during our tour. We'll see La Merced Church, Plaza Carlos V, Plaza de Francia, Plaza Santa Ana, the Anita Villalaz Theatre... Dozens of historic and monumental buildings await in the center of the city's historic center!
Next, we'll head to the famous Panama Canal to see the Miraflores Locks. This is the perfect spot to watch the ships as they cross the narrow waterway that separates the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
We'll conclude this private tour of Panama City by returning to your hotel, where we'll arrive at 1:30 pm.
Excursion to Isla Monos in Gatun Lake (3 hours)
We'll pick you up at 7:30 am at your hotel in Panama City to take you to the port of Gamboa.
There we'll take a boat that will take us to Gatun Lake, where we'll find Isla Monos. We'll skirt this small island, which translates to Monkey Island, to see and hear from the boat the different types of capuchin monkeys, marmosets, and howler monkeys.
Finally, we'll sail back to the port of Gamboa and from there we'll return to your hotel in Panama City, arriving at 10:30 am.
Excursion to the Emberá Indigenous communities (6 hours)
In this case, we'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Panama City to go to the port of Corotú. There we'll embark on a canoe ride on the Chagres River that will take us to the Indigenous communities of the Emberá.
We'll learn about the customs of these Indigenous Peoples and enjoy a meal of tilapia, patacones, and fruits with members of the community. After lunch, we'll attend a demonstration of traditional dance and return by boat to the port of Corotú.
From this river port on the Chagres River, we'll return to your hotel in the Panamanian capital, where we'll arrive at 2 pm.
