At the designated time, we'll meet at Avenida Central España, in the heart of the neighborhood of Santa Ana. From here, we'll start a walking tour of this historic district in Panama City, where you'll discover a truly authentic identity that has stood the test of time.
We'll stroll around the Parque Santa Ana, an iconic site due to it's past linked to social and political events. It was here where many popular protests that have marked Panamanian history took place. We'll continue the tour by stopping in front of the Church of Santa Ana, a building that was finished in 1764.
Close by, we'll find the Teatro Variedades, one of the oldest theaters in Panama. In front of its facade, we'll discuss the generations that have enjoyed renowned film and staging here. Although it's no longer operating, its details will transport you to the golden year of Panamanian entertainment.
Our tour will continue in search of the Gato Negro restaurant, a meeting point between locals and tourists. As we stroll, you'll dive into traditional cuisine by visiting bakeries and the market in the neighborhood. At one of these sites, we'll stop to rest and toast with a refreshing beverage.
Finally, after 2 hours of learning about Santa Ana's identity and culture, we'll say our goodbyes at the initial meeting point.
