Panama City Private Layover Tour
Panama City Private Layover Tour
The Panama City layover tour is private, includes transport and English speaking driver from the pick up at the airport to the transfer back to the airport. When you land, we'll be waiting for you holding a sign with your name next to the tourist desk to enjoy the only world capital that has a jungle within its urban limits.
Our first stop will be at the Panama Canal Visitor Centre, where we'll see the ships pass through the Miraflores Locks towards Lake Gatun. Did you know that this 80 km long place is one of the great achievements of modern engineering?
Afterwards, we'll stop at the Calzada de Amador, a road that connects the country's capital with four islands: Culebra, Naos, Perico and Flamenco. Time to take your camera out to take some fascinating pictures!
Our next stop will be the historic centre of Panama City, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. We'll enjoy a one-hour tour of its main attractions. We'll see the ruins of the Company of Jesus Convent from the 18th century, the towers of the Santa Maria la Antigua Cathedral and its mother-of-pearl inlays or the beautiful neoclassical building of the National Theatre of Panama.
Finally, after five hours, we'll take you back to Tocumen International Airport.
Important: Layover times
The return trip between the airport and the city centre takes 40 minutes. Please note that it is essential to be at the airport two hours before the departure of your flight. Ideally, you should have a minimum of seven hours of layover time to be able to do the activity.
