Options
When making your booking, you can choose between two different options. Both begin at the Go Panama Bike Tours Office and include an English-speaking guide and electric bike and helmet rental. The following are descriptions of both options:
Old Town Tour (2.5 hours)
This is the classic tour. Over the course of 2.5 hours, we'll visit the most iconic spots in the old town of Panama City. During the electric bike tour, we'll discover the colonial origins of the capital city, passing by some of the main squares, churches and artisan markets in the historic centre.
To begin, we'll visit the Las Bóvedas Monumental Complex, the walls that surround the Plaza de Francia Square and one of the great emblems of Panamá City's old town. We'll also pass by the National Theatre, the Plaza de Simón Bolívar Square and the San Francisco de Asís Church.
We'll also see the outside of the Palacio de Las Garzas (Palace of The Herons), the Santo Domingo Convent and the famous Panama Canal Museum. On the final stretch of the tour, we'll visit part of the coastal strip and make a stop at the fish market.
Timetable: This tour starts at 9:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Old Town, Coastal Strip and Calzada de Amador tour (3.5 hours)
With this option, as well as visiting Panama City's old town, we'll go to the coastal trail to cross the incredible bridge that runs over the Pacific Ocean.
Afterwards, we'll head to the Calzada de Amador (The Amador Causeway), a coastal road built with material extracted from the Panama Canal during excavation works that connects the islands of Naos, Perico and Flamenco. We'll also have a unique view of the layout of Panama City, as well as the entrance of the Pacific to the Canal.
After 3.5 hours on our electric bikes, we'll return to the starting point.
