Panama City Tour + Panama Canal
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Panama City. From there, we'll set off on a comprehensive tour of both the old and modern parts of this Panamanian metropolis.
First, we'll head to the one-and-only Panama Canal. This artificial waterway, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, forever changed the face of maritime trade. To get a better understanding of its functionality, we'll visit the Miraflores locks, one of three that form part of the canal, as well as the Panama Canal Administration Building.
The tour then takes to the Bridge of the Americas and the famous Calzada de Amador (Amador Causeway), a scenic land bridge and the location of the city's cruise port.
Next, we'll check out the narrow streets, parks, and colorful balconies of the historic center of Panama City, known as the Casco Antiguo or Casco Viejo. There, we can find the Chuch of San José, where the pirate Henry Morgan attempted to steal its famous golden altar - a popular local legend.
As we stroll through the old quarter, we'll also see the beautiful Plaza de Francia and Las Bóvedas, a series of historic vaults that were used for storage and prisoners in the past. Now, this scenic point is home to many shops and kiosks.
Finally, after exploring the must-sees of Panama City, we'll take you back to you your hotel where the tour will end eight hours after pickup.
