Palermo Churches Tour & Bell Tower Climb
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Palermo Cathedral to begin this fascinating tour of the central churches in Sicily's vibrant capital. Are you ready to be wowed?
Our tour will start at the heart of the Arab-Norman Palermo with a visit to the Cathedral's complex, where we'll dive deep into its history. We'll then head to its walkway to admire one of the best panoramic views of the city. From this vantage point, you'll get great views of the churches, theatres, and villas, as well as the Royal Palace of Palermo and the Cala di Palermo port.
Continuing our tour, we'll walk toward the Chuch of San Giuseppe Cafasso and climb to the top of its monumental bell tower. Here, you'll marvel at the breathtaking views of the San Giovanni degli Eremiti Church, Mount Pellegrino, the Piazza Indipendenza Square, and more. Take in the stunning beauty of Palermo with the sparkling sea in the background!
Our last stop will be at the Baroque Church of Carmine Maggiore, where you'll see impressive pieces of art by renowned artists such as Giacomo Serpotta, Antonello and Domenico Gagini, and Pietro Novelli. We'll also visit the church of the Carmine Maggiore and see the historical Ballarò Market from the top of the church's bell tower.
We'll end our church tour at the entrance of our last stop after a total of three hours.
