Our first stop is a visit to the Palace of the Normans, a building that dates back to the 12th century and served as the official residence for the kings of Sicily. During the visit, we'll discuss the different monarchs who have passed through here and discover the reforms made to this monument in the times of Spanish rule.
As we walk through the elegant halls of the Royal Palace, we'll share with you many fascinating facts about this site. Afterwards, the most anticipated moment of the tour arrives: entering the Palatine Chapel! This temple, belonging to this royal residence, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Palatine Chapel is an authentic jewel of Arab-Norman art. The interior of this sanctuary stands out for its numerous golden mosaics, which cover the walls and ceilings, creating different religious scenes and figures.
