Day Trip to Cefalú
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Palermo Centrale railway station to take a train to Cefalù and begin our day trip.
Once we arrive at our destination, it's time to explore the city's heart! Soon we'll see the majestic Cathedral of Cefalù and admire its Norman facade. Are you ready to discover this magnificent cathedral? You'll fall in love with its stunning Byzantine mosaics. Surrounded by a golden halo and the four Evangelists, the Christ Pantokrator stands as the true highlight.
We'll then head to La Rocca, a huge rock formation that towers over the city, to descend to Cefalù's lively promenade. Afterwards, we'll stop at the Mandralisca Museum, where we'll dive into the local history through ancient archeological findings, pieces of art, and beautiful paintings.
At the historic center, we'll see the Medieval Wash-House, a site that will transport you back in time and show you what everyday life was like in the past. Next, we'll see the Church of Santa Maria Dell'Odigitria and Porta Pescara, some of the last remaining medieval fortifications of Cefalù.
Before finishing the tour, you'll have free time to have lunch at a local restaurant of your choice.
After 6 hours, we'll return by train to Palermo.
