Trekking in the Lacandon Jungle
After picking you up at the indicated time from your hotel in Palenque, we'll head towards the Lacanja Chansayab indigenous community. The journey by minibus will take about three hours and we'll stop for an energising breakfast on the way.
Once we have arrived at our destination, we'll start a hiking route through the depths of the Lacandon jungle.
During the 4-hour hike, we'll get to admire the ferns, orchids and colourful bromeliads that appear along the way. The Lacandon guide will tell us about the peculiarities of dozens of plants and, if we're lucky, we may even see howler monkeys, macaws or harpy eagles. This jungle is also home to jaguars, so keep your eyes peeled!
On the way back to Lacanja Chansayab you will have an hour of free time for lunch before returning to Palenque Finally, we'll bid farewell to the experience by returning to the hotels 14 hours after the pickup itime.
