Archaeological Site of Tula Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pachuca and head to the municipality of Tulla de Allende where the Archaeological Site of Tula is located.

Did you know that this city was the capital of the Toltec state? Its original name was Tollan-Xicocotitlan, but it became known as 'Tula' after the Spanish colonization of the area.

On our tour of the Archaeological Site of Tula, we'll discover key aspects of Toltec culture. We'll learn about the stories told in the chronicles, which include the confrontation between Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca for control of the city.

As we explore the ruins of Tula we'll come across the Burnt Palace, which was destroyed in a fire, and the Pyramid of Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli. When we get to the pyramid, we'll meet its guardians. These would be the Atlantes of Tula, which are four enormous anthropomorphic figures that represent Toltec warriors.

After 7 hours of history and archaeology, we'll return to Pachuca and drop you off at your hotel.
