Oxford Private Tour
Oxford Guided Tour
Our private tour of Oxford will start at the agreed time, at Oxford railway station. We can start the tour by visiting the surroundings of Oxford University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world. We'll learn about the history of this famous institution of medieval origin while walking among its most representative historical buildings. One of them is the Radcliffe Chamber, which houses one of the most important libraries of the city.
If you're a fan of the Harry Potter saga we can go to Christ Church School. Here, several scenes from the films starring the young magician have been filmed. Its rooms even served as inspiration for the dining room at Hogwarts, the school where Harry and his friends study. If you prefer romantic stories, you can visit the New College Lane. This central street is home to the Bridge of Sighs, the scene of many legends. During the month of August, due to the large influx of visitors, it won't be possible to do this route.
On our walk through Oxford we also have the chance to see the majestic architecture of some of its most famous schools. In addition to Christ Church, there are 37 other schools throughout the city. One of the most famous is the Brasenose School. Various personalities have studied in its classrooms, such as the former British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Along with all these wonderful sites, we can also visit:
- Christ Church College – alma mater of 13 British Prime Ministers
- Trinity College
- Oriel College
- Hertford College
- Merton College
- The Bodleian Library
- The Radcliffe Camera
- University Church of St Mary
- And many more University sights!
We'll end the tour at the same starting point or at another one of your choice.
