Tour of Señorío de Otazu Winery
Tour Details
We'll meet at the entrance of the Señorío de Otazu Winery to tour its facilities. Are you ready to discover the secrets of the exquisite wine crafted here? Let's go!
First, we'll stroll through the historic Señorío de Otazu to admire the Church of San Esteban, dating back to the 12th century, the Torre Palomar, and the Casa Palacio de Otazu. In its gardens, you'll admire a collection of artworks from prestigious international artists, some of which have been created specifically for this site.
Next, we'll explore this historic winery. Did you know it holds the Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) for Pago? This winery is home to a wine museum and a contemporary art space from the Otazu Foundation, recognized by the renowned ARCO Foundation. You'll also visit the underground barrel room, designed by Jaime Gaztelu, a renowned Spanish architect.
The tour will conclude with a tasting of three wines, each one paired with a different pintxo. Delicious!
