Summer Cruise on the Oslo Fjord

At the indicated time, we'll depart from Pier 3 at the City Hall Square (Rådhusplassen).

During a journey of approximately three hours, we'll cruise along the waters of the Oslo fjord in a traditional wooden Norwegian boat. From the dock at the City Hall Square, we head southwest to the green coasts of Bygdøy. On the peninsula, known as the ‘district of the museums,’ we'll see the Huk bay, which is very popular among swimmers in the summer months.

On our cruise, we'll also witness other beautiful parts of the Oslo fjord, such as the lighthouse of Dyna islet and the islands of Lindøya and Hovedøya. While we admire these sublime landscapes, on board the boat, you have access to a buffet-style appetizer of local prawns and bread, butter, lemon, and mayonnaise. The boat also has a bar which offers a choice of drinks (not included), such as water, soft drinks, beer, coffee, etc.

We'll end this boat tour by returning to the same berth from where it departed.

Maravilloso. Tal y cual se describe. Tan solo, que se hacen un pelín largas las 3 h de navegación. Para mi gusto le sobra 1/2 h. Por otra parte, hay confusión a la hora de montarte en un barco u otro (hay varios que zarpan a la misma hora y hacen lo mismo), y allí no hay nadie de Civitatis que te pueda orientar. Marvelous. As described. Only, that the 3 hours of navigation are a tad long. For my taste, it has 1/2 h left over. On the other hand, there is confusion when it comes to getting on one boat or another (there are several that set sail at the same time and do the same thing), and there is no one from Civitatis there to guide you. Gran experiencia. Poder navegar por el fiordo de Oslo, en un barco estilo antiguo, no es algo que se haga todos los días. El recorrido dura unas 3 horas y es muy agradable y tranquilo, con unas vistas espectaculares. La tripulación fue muy amable en todo momento. Respecto a la comida, estaba bien, son gambas noruegas con pan y lechuga y que se puede sacar a gusto cuando uno quiera. Pero sinceramente, me quedo más con la navegación que con la comida. Great experience. Being able to navigate the Oslo Fjord, in an old-style boat, is not something you do every day. The tour lasts about 3 hours and is very nice and quiet, with spectacular views. The crew was very friendly at all times. Regarding the food, it was good, they are Norwegian prawns with bread and lettuce and that you can take out whenever you want. Precioso paseo en barco. Perfecto si eres de los que se marea, casi no se notaba el movimiento. Literal la gente se ponia las botas con el Buffet de gambas. Bebida no incluida. 3h muy rápidas y entretenidas, pues acabas haciéndote amigo de los de al lado y mola. Recomendable!! Translate this opinion into English.

Beautiful boat ride. Perfect if you are one of those who get dizzy, the movement was hardly noticeable. People literally put on their boots with the Prawn Buffet. Crucero muy bonito por el fiordo de Oslo. Las Gambas y Cangrejos son buffet libre y la bebida se paga aparte. A la vuelta el capitán nos llevó a ver la zona de la Opera antes de llegar al muelle del ayuntamiento. Como anochece a las 20h, pudimos ver Oslo tanto de dia como de noche todo iluminado. Te dejan unas mantitas a bordo por si tienes frio. Recomendable 100%.

El viaje es muy bonito y las vistas son espectaculares. Pero yo cambiaria el titulo de la excursion ya que no se visitan fiordos tal y como los conocemos. No esperes ver grandes construcciomes naturales ni rocosas ya que tan cerca de la capital es imposible. Por lo demas el personal fue muy amable y comimos gambas hasta hartarnos.
