Oslo Bike Tour
Oslo Bike Tour
At 2 pm, we'll see you at 31 Akershusstranda in Oslo to start our bike tour around this incredible city. During the tour, our guide will tell us about the fascinating history behind the monuments we see, as well as weaving in some interesting facts about present day Norwegian culture and politics.
Our 7-mile (12-kilometre) route will begin with incredible views of the fjord as we cycle through Grev Wedels Plass. Our first stop will be the medieval Akershus Fortress, which has stood for over 700 years. You'll have some time to explore the castle's imposing walls and take photos.
Afterwards, we'll cycle to the Karls Johans Gate, which is the main street in Oslo. On this street, we'll find some of Oslo's most symbolic places, such as the National Theatre and the Royal Palace and its gardens.
The next stop on our bike tour will be the Frogner neighbourhood. This vibrant neighbourhood is one of the trendiest in Oslo and is famous for its iconic colourful buildings. Within the Frogner neighbourhood lies the Vigeland Sculpture Park, which we'll spend plenty of time exploring. While we're in this historic part of Oslo, we'll also cycle to the Vigeland Museum.
We'll then continue to cycle through quiet streets towards the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art. You'll love the stunning modern architecture of the harbour area around Aker Brygge, where we might be able to take a dip (weather permitting).
It'll then be time to finish our tour at Skur 42, 31 Akershusstranda, 3 hours after our departure.
