At 9:10 am we'll meet at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office and we'll board a minibus that'll take us to Castellón de la Plana. The journey will only take about 20 minutes.
Once in Castellón we'll start the visit by visiting the Grao de Castellón. Here, we'll enjoy the beautiful coast and its long stretches of golden sand. We'll also see the fishing port and marina, the lighthouse and some houses whose modernist aesthetics are sure to grab your attention.
After this, we'll walk through the historic centre of Castellón de la Plana arriving at the Museum of Fine Arts. We'll admire its curious facade and enter its interior. Sculptures, Valencian ceramics, and several paintings from Zurbarán's workshop await us.
How about some shopping? You'll love the next stop. We'll visit the Market, only open on Mondays, where we'll find more than 300 stalls selling food, clothes and many other products.
We'll continue to enjoy the tour, exploring the main monuments of Castellón de la Plana. The façade of the Santa María la Mayor cathedral, the El Fadrí bell tower, the theatre, the Central Market and much more await us, all along our guide will tell you about the city's interesting buildings and history. Did you know that this bell tower is protected as an Asset of Cultural Interest?
We'll finish the tour at 1.30 pm, returning to Oropesa del Mar.
