Pane Carasau Bread Workshop
Description
At the indicated time we'll meet at the Museo del Pane Carasau di Orgosolo to start this cooking workshop in which we'll prepare one of the most typical Sardinian dishes!
At the museum, we'll see that it preserves the historical tradition of the production of this traditional Sardinian bread. Inside, we'll see the tools which have long been widely used in the baking process.
We'll then learn how pane carasau is made, inlcuding kneading the bread and the baking process. However, you'll also learn some local tips and tricks which will give your bread that authentic quality which is difficult to attain.
After the workshop, we'll enjoy the museum itself, which includes a fascinating video which delves further into the history and traditions of the region. You're sure to gain a greater understanding of the passion and wisdom which has been passed down from generation to generation.
To round off the activity, of course, you can enjoy a tasting of pane carasau, accompanied by cheese produced by local shepherds and a glass of Cannonau wine.
With a good taste in your mouth, we'll say goodbye after three hours.
