Oban Town Walking Tour
We'll meet at Oban harbour at 10.30 am and begin our guided tour to explore this little-known town on the west coast of Scotland, also known as the gateway to the Hebrides.
Oban, whose name comes from the Gaelic for "little bay", has one of the most beautiful bays in Scotland. On this tour we'll visit Oban's most iconic sights, including its famous distillery - did you know it's one of the oldest in Scotland, dating back to 1794!
After looking outside, we'll pass by the War and Peace Museum, an ideal place to discover the most relevant chapters of Oban's past, like what happened to the Dutch ship SS Breda?
Finally, we'll approach the McCaig Tower, a coliseum-like building with the best views of Oban and its coastline. You'll learn all about this fascinating building that has become the symbol of the city.
We will finish this guided tour of Oban at 11:30 am.
