PADI Open Water Diving Course
Day 1: Theory
On the first day of your course, you'll watch videos and complete the Knowledge Reviews of the Padi Open Water Digital Manual. This theory part is self-study and can be done at our dive center or partially in your accommodation if you have your own tablet or smartphone. On this day, we'll also help you to create your Padi Account so you can have access to your digital materials. At the end of the day, your instructor will review the work you've done.
Day 2: Confined water practice
On the second day, you'll meet your instructor at the dive center to start the practical part of the course. They will begin by briefing you about the equipment you'll be using and how to set it up yourself. You'll complete your Confined Water practice in a swimming pool and will learn scuba skills, most of which you'll practice again in the following 2 days. The practical session normally takes half a day, then we'll continue with your theory.
Day 3: Open water dives
On the third day, you'll go for your first 2 dives in the ocean! You'll meet your instructor for a briefing about those dives and to ensure that you understand what you have been learning until now. These dives have a maximum depth of 40 feet and will be done in dive sites suitable for training. After, we'll return to the dive center, where you'll finish your remaining theory or other components of the confined water in the swimming pool that weren’t completed the previous day.
Day 4: Final Day
On this last day, you'll go for your last 2 dives, this time to a maximum depth of 60 feet. If you chose to finish off all the theory yesterday, then there is nothing to do when you get back to the dive center other than celebrate! We choose the dive sites you'll dive at with your training requirements in mind, always with your safety being our top priority. We can guarantee that you'll see plenty of marine life during your training dives, which your instructor will review with you at the end of each day. You'll be finished by lunchtime, so you can leave the island in the afternoon if you wish or stay longer to enjoy the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan and do more fun dives with a 10% discount.
Important Information
After your last dive, you should wait at least 24 hours before boarding a plane or going to high-altitude areas.
