Private Tour of Noto

We'll meet at the indicated time at the entrance gate to the historic center of Noto, namely the Porta Reale or Porta Ferdinandea, near the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi. Once assembled, we'll begin our private tour of Noto by touring this church, one of the most beautiful in the city, and admiring its wonderful frescoes and decorations.

Then, we'll walk down the main street and come across another beautiful Baroque church, the Church of Santa Chiara, where we'll admire columns embellished with stucco and statues of apostles and cherubs.

Later, we'll continue our visit by stopping at Piazza del Duomo, where we'll find the majestic Ducezio Palace, the seat of the City Hall, built between the 18th and 19th centuries. You'll be amazed at the sight of its frescoed ceiling!

In front of this Baroque-style jewel rises the monumental staircase that leads to the stunning Cathedral of St. Nicholas, a symbol of Noto. Did you know that, over the years, it has collapsed three times? We'll tell you how it all happened!

To continue, we'll walk down the famous Via Nicolaci, the street where the famous "infiorata", which attracts thousands of tourists every year, is set up. Here, we'll admire the most beautiful noble palaces in Noto and discover some interesting details about their architecture. Among them, the Nicolaci Palace stands out with its beautiful balconies decorated with statues, masks, animals, and various figures carved in limestone. Very impressive indeed!

Finally, we'll explore the Loggia del Mercato, once home to the market of Noto and now used for cultural events of various kinds. We'll conclude our guided tour by admiring the elegant neoclassical-style Tina di Lorenzo Theater and the Hercules Fountain, saying goodbye at this point after a 2-hour tour.
