At the indicated time, we'll meet at Nice Ville station, where we'll board a train and travel to the Massif de l'Estérel. Are you ready to discover the most stunning landscapes? Let's go!
From Nice, we'll travel along a historic railway line dating back to the early 20th century that crosses the heart of the southern coast of France. Along the way, you'll admire the landscapes of the Massif de l'Estérel, including the Corniche d'Or and its characteristic ochre tones.
The train ride will take us through the stretch between Cannes and Fréjus, also known as the Green Provence. Did you know that it's the largest forest in France? You'll be amazed! During our route, we'll pass through Cannes and see the Lerins islands and the Maures Massif.
Towards the middle of the trip, we'll get off at Saint-Raphaël-Valescure station and go on a hiking route along the coast of the Corniche d'Or. This'll be the perfect opportunity to admire the colorful rock formations that predominate this area. Plus, we'll learn about how World War II unfolded here as we pass by the beach of the Landing in Provence.
Then, we'll take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch – the food will taste even better with these views! After lunch, we'll continue walking to a viewpoint, from where we'll have an unbeatable view of the Massif de l'Estérel.
Finally, we'll take the train back to Nice and finish the excursion after 10 hours of activity.
