RiseNY: A Sensory Experience in New York

Attractions

You can enjoy three attractions at RiseNY with your ticket: a documentary, a museum and a simulator.

Documentary

After entering RiseNY, you'll have access to a very special projection room. This space recreates, in detail, the iconic vault chamber at City Hall, the first metro station in New York, which was opened in 1904.

After checking out the vault chamber, you'll see a short documentary. The film, which shows the history of New York from the beginning of the 20th century to the current day, is narrated by Jeff Goldblum: a popular Hollywood actor who played important roles in movies such as Jurassic Park and Independence Day.

Interactive Museum

The interactive museum contains the following rooms:

• Fashion: check out a sample of different items of clothing, from the outfits worn in New York nightclubs in the 70s to the outfits of big stars like Beyoncé.
• Broadway Musicals: an exhibition dedicated to famous shows like The Lion King and Wicked.
• Wall Street: here you'll learn many interesting facts about the New York Stock Exchange.
• Skyline: see some cool scale models of buildings from New York's iconic skyline.
• TV and radio: if you're a fan of TV, in this room, you'll be able to get your picture taken on the Friends couch, and see props used in the making of Sex and the City.
• Cinema: here, you'll see short snippets from over 50 classic and contemporary movies shot in Manhattan.

Flight Simulator

An interactive or an immersive museum?

You're probably wondering what the difference is between an interactive museum and an immersive one. Well, below is all the information you need:

• An interactive museum allows the visitor to explore, touch and interact with objects, rather than simply seeing them in a glass display case.
• Immersive museums, on the other hand, are different: at these, visitors enter another reality, either by means of 3-D glasses, or a simulator etc.
   

RiseNY is a blend of both. An interactive and immersive museum at the same time!

RiseNY opens at the following times:

• From Sunday to Thursday: from 10 am to 6 pm.
• Friday and Saturday: from 10 am to 8 pm.

Please keep in mind that the flight simulator experience is only suitable for those over 1m (3'2") in height. This experience is also not recommended for pregnant women.
