Once we arrive at the US side of Niagara we'll visit the American Falls, Goat Island and Luna Island. At night, we can admire the stunning colourful lighting of the waters.
We'll stay overnight at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel.
Day 2: Niagara Falls - New York
After leaving the hotel, we'll go to the Horseshoe Falls, also known as the Canadian Falls and is the largest of the three waterfalls with the highest flow rate. Here we'll take a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist to experience the powerful waters.
At noon we'll leave Niagara Falls and drive back to New York. Along the way, we'll stop at one of the largest outlet shopping malls, where you can stroll around the many shops to find bargains.
We'll arrive in New York in the evening.
3-Day Tour
If you have a little more time, we recommend that you book the 3-day tour where, in addition to Niagara Falls, we'll visit Toronto, the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and the Thousand Islands.
If you choose this option, on the first day we’ll board the Maid of the Mist for an unforgettable experience. After returning to the mainland, we'll enjoy a sunset view of the falls under the stars. We’ll end the day with a return to your hotel on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
On our second day, after a hotel breakfast, we'll continue exploring Niagara Falls with a visit to Terrapin Point. From this vantage point, we'll enjoy breathtaking views of Horseshoe Falls, the most impressive of the three waterfalls.
Next, we'll explore Niagara-on-the-Lake, discovering the main attractions of this charming town. Then, we'll head to Toronto, Canada’s financial capital, for a panoramic tour featuring HTO Park, the Brookfield Place complex, and the historic Distillery District.
In the afternoon, we'll leave Toronto behind and travel east along Lake Ontario to the Thousand Islands area of Gananoque, where we'll spend the night.
The last day begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a scenic cruise through the Thousand Islands. As we sail the St. Lawrence River, first explored by French explorer Jacques Cartier 500 years ago, we’ll see luxurious celebrity homes, including Boldt Castle and Heart Island.
Finally, we'll return to New York and end the 3-day tour in the late afternoon at the starting point.
Please note that the 3-day option is only available from April to October.
Tour Accommodation
Please note that the price listed for accommodation is per person.
Children over 2 can join this tour at the same price per person and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The 2-day tour includes one night's accommodation on the U.S. side of Niagara Falls, while the 3-day tour includes two nights' accommodation on the Canadian side at the following hotels:
- Niagara Falls: Ramada by Wyndham Niagara Falls (4-star) or similar
- Gananoque: Comfort Inn & Suites Thousand Islands (2 stars) or similar
Itinerary Changes
From November to April, we’ll visit Montour Falls instead of Watkins Glen State Park. During these months, the Maid of the Mist is out of operation, so we’ll explore the scenic tunnels known as the Scenic Tunnels
Normally, at the beginning of April, the river thaws, and the cruises start operating again. However, some years are colder than others so cruise operations may have a later start date.
When this occurs, the 3-day tour will be slightly adjusted: we’ll return to Niagara Falls for the second night after Toronto. On the third day, we’ll visit the Welland Canal and offer free time for shopping before heading back to New York.
Visa for Canada
For the 3-day tour, citizens of certain countries (Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, etc.) require a visa to enter Canada. We recommend checking the visa requirements of your home country before traveling.
