On this excursion to Parque Norte and Centenario we'll enjoy the most impressive view of the city of Neuquén and visit a farm to learn about local agriculture and livestock.
Parque Norte & Centenario Tour
At 2 pm we'll pick you up at your hotel in Neuquén and drive to the highest point of the city.
We'll visit the Parque Norte, a nature reserve that protects the native flora and fauna of the Patagonian desert or steppe, and from its viewpoint there are fantastic views of Neuquén and its neighbour Cipolleti. You'll be able to recognise the main historical buildings of Neuquén while enjoying the atmosphere of this so-called green lung.
Our next stop will be in the town of Centenario, where we'll visit a 'chacra', as the small rural farms dedicated to agriculture and livestock farming in the area are known. Here we'll see what products they grow and the methods they use, and hear the story of how the first settlers of Centenario arrived and settled here.
The last point of the visit will be a place where, if you wish, you can have a snack on your own. Centenario is also known for hosting various fairs of local producers. If we're lucky and find a fair open on the day of the tour, we'll visit it.
Finally, we'll return to Neuquén to drop you off at your hotel around 7 pm.
