On this day trip to Paicol, we'll visit an old colonial town in Huila before going on a caving adventure in the Caja de Agua cave!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Neiva and make our way to Paicol. This municipality, located in the west of the department of Huila, boasts a wonderful combination of history, nature and adventure activities that will blow you away!
Upon arrival at our destination, we'll go on a 1-hour guided tour of Paicol to see the area's main landmarks. We'll see the church of Santa Rosa de Lima, colonial houses, and cobblestone streets that will make you feel like you've travelled back in time!
Afterwards, we'll bid farewell to the town and venture into its natural surroundings, making our way to the Caja de Agua cave, where we'll embark on a thrilling caving adventure. We'll provide you with all the necessary safety equipment to explore this natural wonder, which was formed by a geological fault.
We'll explore the Caja de Agua passage, along with various hidden caves found in the mountains. Along the way, we'll come across fantastic wells, waterfalls, and natural pools!
After spending 4 hours in the cave, we'll reemerge to the outside world and replenish our strength in a nearby restaurant with a delicious lunch. To top off our day, we'll hike up to see the Serpentine waterfall, where you'll be able to take a dip if you so wish!
We'll then hop back onto the minibus and drop you off at your hotel, after 10 hours of activity.
