Scenic Night Tour of Neiva + Folkloric Dance Class
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to begin this exciting scenic night tour of Neiva. Did you know that it is known as the capital of the Magdalena River?
We'll drive on the Carrera 15 to admire the city's stunning sports complex, with a stadium, coliseum, and Olympic pools. From here, we'll drive down the Carrera 21 until reaching Leesburg Park.
Afterward, we'll head to the city center to see its lit-up monuments as night falls, strolling through the nightlife area. We'll continue our scenic tour by visiting other green areas in Neiva, such as Niños Park and Caracolí Park.
We'll then reach the Malecón, where the Magdalena River takes center stage. Here, we'll head to the Tower Mohán lookout to enjoy the spectacular scenic views of the contrast between nature and the city.
Next, we'll see the Gaitana Monument, whose name is a tribute to an Indigenous woman considered a heroine during the colonial era. After learning about her history, we'll stop at the train station, where two dancers will be waiting for us to perform a traditional dance from Huila.
These dancers will show us the basic steps of the most typical folkloric dances in Huila, such as the sanjuanero, the bambuco, and the rajaleña. After learning the theory, it's time to put what we learned into practice. Let's dance!
Once our dance class is finished, we'll conclude the activity. You'll be able to choose whether to stay in the area or return to your accommodation, where we'll arrive after 5 hours.
