At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Neiva to begin this tour of one of Colombia's most vibrant cities. Let's go!
During our tour of the capital of Huila, we'll see streets, museums, viewpoints, parks, memorials, bars and cafes full of the typical Latin American energy. You'll be kept on your toes!
In Santander Park, we'll dive into the city's history from the foundation of Neiva over 400 years ago. As well as that, we'll stroll through the city's most lively parks, Parque de la Música Jorge Villamil Cordobés. There, we'll see small local music groups perform—you'll definitely want a dance!
We'll hear about the significance of the different memorials along the route, such as the Cacica Gaitana, an indigenous leader of great importance in the native origins of the population of Neiva. We'll learn many more interesting facts when we arrive at the Central Cemetery, the Archaeological Museum and the Departmental Library.
We'll close the tour with a delicious achira sponge cake, arepas and a cup of authentic Colombian coffee in the Central Park while we rest from our walk. Enjoy!
Finally, we'll say goodbye at your hotel after a 4-hour tour of Neiva.
