Wilpattu National Park Safari
Wilpattu National Park Safari
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Negombo to start a safari through Wilpattu National Park. Ready to visit the largest nature reserve in Sri Lanka?
After a three-and-a-half-hour drive, we'll arrive at Wilpattu and embark on this four-hour safari in search of different groups of animals accompanied by breathtaking panoramic views.
Wilpattu National Park is known for being one of the best places in the world to spot leopards, a mammal endemic to Sri Lanka. The wildlife here also includes sloth bears, elephants, spotted deer, mongoose and tufted gray langurs. Be sure to pay close attention to spot them!
Throughout the safari, we'll also see reptiles, such as the Indian python and the saltwater crocodile. Not only that, but this park also happens to be an ideal spot for bird lovers. We'll be able to spot crested serpent eagles, Indian peafowl and painted storks.
Before returning to Negombo, we'll take a break on the way for lunch on your own so you can recharge your batteries.
Finally, we'll arrive back at your hotel in Negombo, where the tour will end about eleven hours after departure.
