Private Kandy Day Trip
Private Kandy Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Negombo at 7 am and leave behind the western coast to head to Kandy, Sri Lanka's "mountain capital".
On arrival, we'll visit a traditional herbs and spices garden. The island of Sri Lanka has more than 150 different varieties of dressings, condiments and marinades! The next stop will be at a traditional tea factory, whose herbs are grown in local Kandy fields.
After an hour of free time for lunch, we'll continue on to visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth. Inside this sanctuary, named because it houses the Buddha's molar, we'll see a beautiful decoration in which geometric shapes and golden vegetables predominate.
Our next stop will be the Jewellery Museum, where we'll see extraordinary jewellery made with materials from this area of Sri Lanka - a treasure trove of gems, rings and other miniature works of art!
The tour will end returning to Negombo, arriving at 7 pm.
