Private Negombo City Tour
Private Negombo City Tour
After picking you up from your hotel in Negombo at 9 am, we'll begin the tour of the city by heading to the large lagoon. This is one of the main fishing areas in Sri Lanka, as many fish species concentrate here.
The tour will continue on discovering Negombo's colonial past by heading to the St. Sebastian and St. Anne churches, built during the years of European domination. As we'll see, in spite of the passing of the decades, these temples still preserve architectural elements which are very characteristic of the Old Continent.
The next stop will be one of Negombo's most cherished sanctuaries, the Angurukaramulla Temple. Its colourful decoration will immediately attract your attention, almost as much as the gigantic Buddha sculpture that presides over the entrance to this sacred enclosure - no less than six metres long!
Our final stop will be the popular Negombo Fish Market to find out more about the products most in demand by residents. You can even go to one of its many stalls and try to sample some delicacies.
The tour will end arriving back at your hotel at 3 pm.
