Antonini Museum Tour + Pottery and Gold Workshops
Antonini Museum Tour + Pottery and Gold Workshops
We will pick you up at your hotel in Nazca at the time of your choice and take you to the Antonini Archaeological Museum, a perfect place to learn about the latest discoveries made in the ancient ceremonial center of Cahuachi.
For an hour and a half, we will guide you through the different rooms of the museum admiring the collection of pieces of the Nazca culture, like musical instruments, funeral objects, models of the Nazca Lines, and trophy heads. We will tell you everything related to the archaeological process that takes place in this area of Peru where the ceremonial center of Cahuachi has a key role.
Then, we will leave the museum and go to the ceramic workshop of Mr. Tobi, a craftsman from Nassau who will show us the work he carries out following traditional techniques.
To complete our apprenticeship in craftsmanship, we will go to a gold workshop, where the miners will show us the hard work they do in the extraction of this mineral. The method they use dates back to colonial times.
We will end the tour by returning to your hotel after a fantastic two-hour adventure.
