Modernist Tour of Sant Benet Monastery
Modernist Tour of Sant Benet Monastery
At the indicated time, head to the reception of the Sant Benet Monastery (Món Sant Benet) to pickup the audio guide with which you'll be able to learn about the summer residence of the painter Ramon Casas.
Once inside, you'll go on a sensory tour through the rooms of the Sant Benet Monastery, which was converted into a summer house for the Catalan bourgeoisie. It'll be a unique tour, perfect for art lovers!
Amidst the smell of paint and the strokes of the artist's brush, you'll travel back to the summer of 1924 to discover how the bourgeoisie of the time lived. Throughout the tour, you'll be able to contemplate the magical details and learn about the rituals that took place in this monastery thanks to music, lights, projections, and other creative installations.
What do the walls of a 1,000-year-old monastery that was converted into a place of recreation and relaxation hide? Have you heard about the painter's love story with the lottery seller Julia Peraire? Come and discover the history of this fascinating place in the most original way!
After an hour, you'll finish the tour back at the entrance of the Monastery of Sant Benet.
