Food Tour of Nairobi
Description
Departing from Simba Street at the designated time, we'll embark on a culinary journey to enjoy the rich flavors of Nairobi.
To gain insight into Kenyan cuisine and its traditional food, we'll head to the Highlands Restaurant in Corner House. As we stroll along Mama Ngnia Street, we'll reveal some of the most relevant facts about the history and culture of Kenya, essential to understanding the country's gastronomic customs. Here, we'll taste the typical recipes of western Kenya, such as ugali, ghiteri, brown porridge, and samosas.
Following our intro to Kenyan cuisine, our journey continues as we delve into Swahili gastronomy. Our path leads us along Biashara Street, where many street stalls offer dishes infused with the rich cultural blend of Swahili, Indian, and Arab influences hailing from the coastal regions of Kenya.
To savor these delectable dishes, we'll make pitstops at various local restaurants, each providing a taste of the harmonious blend that characterizes Kenyan cuisine—a captivating intersection of diverse culinary cultures.
Our final destination will be the Green Apple restaurant, where we'll conclude our culinary adventure by indulging in various local dishes—a delightful finale to our gastronomic journey!
Arriving back at our departure point, we'll bring our tour to a close three to four hours later.
