Description

Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

We'll pick you up from Nairobi Airport or your hotel and head to Amboseli National Park, where we'll start this 7-day safari in Kenya.

Upon arriving at our destination, we'll have lunch and then start a route to see elephants, buffalos, wildebeest, gazelles and cheetahs in the savanna. The safari will last til sunset, when, if it's a clear sky, we'll end the day with magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

For the first two nights, we'll sleep in a cabin in Kimana Amboseli Tented Camp, with views of Kilimanjaro.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

On the second day, we'll have breakfast and continue exploring Amboseli, one of the best places in Africa to spot wildlife in the savanna, where there are more than 400 species of birds.

After lunch, you'll have the afternoon free. We suggest taking a visit to the Masaai tribe to learn about their traditions. It's a unique opportunity to learn about their rich culture.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park - Hell's Gate - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, we'll head off towards Hell's Gate National Park, located by Lake Naivasha, and known for its stunning landscapes. Here, it will be easy to spot buffalos and antelopes running wild, as well as many birds.

Here, we'll do a safari around the area to enjoy the great diversity of animals that live in the park. You'll have the opportunity to participate in a number of optional activities. If you like pedaling through nature, you can take a bike tour to see Hell's Gate from a different perspective. If you're the more adventurous type, you might want to climb the spectacular Fisher's Tower, a 45-metre (147-foot) tower.

Then, we'll continue our route to the famous Hell's Gate Gorge, where you can walk around the fields where the famous film The Lion King by Disney was inspired.

We'll relax til the next day at a campsite near Lake Naivasha. See you tomorrow!

Day 4: Hell's Gate - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, we'll leave Lake Naivasha behind and set off for Lake Nakuru National Park, where we'll arrive with enough time to have lunch before starting a tour around this impressive lagoon, protected by the Ramsar Convention.

At Lake Nakuru, we'll see flamingos, which thrive in these waters, as well as white and black rhinos and giraffes that come to the lake to cool off.

On the fourth night, we'll sleep in a hotel in the Lake Nakuru reserve.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Masaai Mara

We'll wake up early to enjoy breakfast and then head to the Great Rift Valley, a 4830 km (3000 mile) long geological fracture. Once aboard the vehicle, we'll drive past the Longonot extinct volcano on our route to Masaai Mara.

This fascinating landscape, located on the border with Tanzania, is another ideal spot to admire wildlife in all its glory since it's home to Africa's Big Five: Lions, Cheetahs, the African Elephant, Buffalos and the Black Rhino (which is in danger of extinction). The reserve owes its name to the Masaai tribe, an aboriginal population who maintain their ancestral customs and who still live in this area.

We'll spend the night at a campsite in the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Day 6: Masaai Mara

A very special day awaits you! For explorers who don't want to miss anything, we recommend taking a hot air balloon ride over Masaai Mara. If you choose this activity, we'll get up before sunrise to make the most of the marvellous savanna from above. Once we land, after a fantastic experience, we'll have breakfast.

We'll spend the rest of the day at the park, enjoying a safari to spot the main predators and its prey. For lunch, we'll have a picnic, and, in the afternoon, we'll head to the shores of the Mara River, where we'll see hippos and crocodiles.

Before nightfall, we'll return to camp to relax.

Day 7: Masaai Mara - Nairobi

It's time to say our goodbyes. After breakfast, we'll collect our luggage and head back to Nairobi, where we'll arrive around midday. Once here, we'll take you to your hotel or the airport. Safe trip!
