Nagasaki Sightseeing Tour

At the established time, we'll meet up at the train station to set off on this sightseeing tour of Nagasaki. Ready to experience all that this fascinating Japanese city has to offer? Let's go!

The first stop of the day will be at Nagasaki Peace Park. Upon arrival, we'll check out the huge bronze statue that stands over the park and symbolizes the love and mercy of Buddha in honor of the victims of the atomic bomb dropped on the city on August 9, 1945.

From here, we'll head over to Glover Gardens, where we'll admire the European-style buildings constructed in the city during the Meiji period. As we stroll through this beautiful space, we'll learn loads about the history of Nagasaki and its mix of cultures. Did you know that it was the only port open to foreigners during the total closure of Japan back in the day?

Another history highlight is the Atomic Bomb Museum. How did Nagasaki manage to rebuild itself after the chaos and terror? We'll commemorate this tragic event and, above all, we'll learn about the fight to create a world free of nuclear weapons.

Finally, we'll visit the Megane Bashi or "spectacles bridge", one of the stone bridges built during the 17th century that crosses the Nakashima River.

The tour will come to an end back at the starting point after four hours of sightseeing.
