Itinerary
After picking you up from your hotel in Muscat, we'll begin our trip to the interior of the Arabian Peninsula to spend a day among the emblematic castles of Oman.
The first stop will be in Birkat Al Mawz, an enchanting and mysterious abandoned town constructed in the 17th century at the foot of the Jebel Akhdar Mountain, also known as the "green mountain". It will astound you!
Then, we'll head to the precious historic centre of Nizwa, the “cultural capital” of Oman. We'll spend an hour in this incredible city. There we'll see the exterior of the fortress, famous for its 360-degree cannon tower. We'll also take a walk around the souk market before making a stop at a local restaurant to have something to eat and rest for a bit.
Next, we'll catch the bus and head to the Jabrin Castle, constructed in the 17th century. It is one of the best conserved in the whole country and stands out for its carved wooden doors and beams. Remember to look up at the enchanting ceiling!
At the end, we'll return to Muscat, where we will stop at the Oman Avenue Mall so that you can buy some souvenirs or have a drink. Finally, we'll drop you off at your hotel in Muscat.
