Munich Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour
This Munich City Sightseeing bus follows three 1-hour routes around Munich. Throughout the journey, you can enjoy pre-recorded commentary in English explaining fascinating facts about the sights you drive past.
The route around the old town (red line) allows you to visit the essential sights of the city, such as the New Town Hall, St Peter’s Church, Theatine Church and the Hofgarten (Court Garden).
The blue line will take you to discover the art district of Munich. You'll discover the northern part of the city admiring Schwabing, one of the largest urban parks in Europe, as well as Leopoldstraße, Odeonsplatz, or the English Gardens.
The Nymphenburg-Olympia route (purple route) takes you to the impressive Nymphenburg Palace and the Olympic Park constructed for the Olympic Games of 1972.

How does it work?
The bus tour ticket is valid for 24 or 48 consecutive days. During this time, you can hop on and hop off the bus as many times as you want.
Timetable and frequency
The operating hours of the Munich sightseeing bus are as follows:
Summer timetable (April 1-September 30)
- Old Town Tour (Red Line): departs every 15-30 minutes from 10 am to 5 pm.
- Nymphenburg-Olympia route (Purple Line): departs every 30 minutes from 10 am to 5 pm.
- Schwabing route (Blue Line): departs at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:30 pm.
Winter timetable (October 1-March 31)
- Old Town Tour (Red Line): departs every 15-30 minutes from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
- Nymphenburg-Olympia route (Purple Line): Monday to Friday departures every hour, Saturday to Sunday every 30 minutes from 10 am to 4 pm.
- Schwabing route (Blue Line): departs at 10:30 am, 12:30 am, 2:30 pm, and 4:30 pm.
