Itinerary
Our English-speaking guide will be waiting at the entrance to the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir temple in Mumbai. From there, we head deep into the colours and aromas at the heart of the city. Our first stop is the Bhuleshwar market. Strolling through the narrow streets, you will find an infinite amount of diverse products: fruit and vegetables, imitation jewellery, religious objects, rose petals, complements, and accessories and even household products.
After this first taste of the beating heart of the city centre, we go to the Mumba Devi temple, from which the city got its name. After hearing about Mumbai’s history, we will visit the Zaveri Bazaar. Considered the largest jewellery market in the region, this is heaven for lovers of these precious goods!
Other markets that we will visit are the Chor Bazaar, famous for its antiques and furniture; the Mangaldas market, popular for its boutiques where magical dresses are made with the finest materials; and Mumbai’s flower market, known as Flower Alley, which is a vivid experience for all the senses.
Our tour finishes at one of the most famous markets in south Mumbai: Crawford Market. Founded in 1871, this bazaar, located in a Gothic and Romanesque style building, is known for its fruit and vegetables, delicious cheese and homemade chocolate. Try some for yourself and leave the tour with a delicious taste in your mouth.
